Dress by Me
My Tinkerbell cosplay was a huge hit this past weekend at Fan Days. I had many people stop me for pictures and even some little ones coming running asking for a picture or hug. I always enjoy seeing little kids faces light up when they see their favorite characters, but it's also just as amazing seeing adults do the same thing. Tinkerbell will be at other conventions in the future as well since it was such a huge hit. So if you missed out on a picture this time no worries! I enjoyed meeting new people and seeing old friends, thanks for being so sweet and for all the compliments.

Sarah Sanderson cosplay

Today is the start of Fan Days! Sadly I won't be able to make it to the convention today but I will be at the after-party later dressed as Sarah Sanderson! This is absolutely my favorite cosplay so far and I made almost all of it by hand. My favorite part is the cape, I am so in love with it, I may just start wearing capes all the time! It was also a super easy costume to make as well. I will be wearing her again saturday at Fan Days for the costume contest so if you're going to be there be sure to say hi to me!

Gotham inspired outfit (Selina Kyle)

In honor of tonight's episode of Gotham, I threw together a quick Selina Kyle inspired outfit/cosplay. Definitely the comfiest thing I have ever worn and will be rocking this outfit this winter. Getting this outfit together was a piece of cake and if you need a last minute halloween costume this is something to consider. The main things you need are a leather jacket(mines pleather because it's cheaper) and a grey hoodie. You can easily make steampunk googles or find them at a Home Depot since they are just welders googles, I didn't have black gloves but finding an old pair and cutting off the fingertips won't be hard to do. I already own a pair of gothic boots but any pair of boots could work for this. Be aware this outfit is very hot for Texas weather. If you live somewhere where it's cold during halloween then you're in luck! Also check back as I'm going to try and create more outfits inspired by Gotham's characters as we get to know them which is going to be challenging but fun!

Disney trip!

Disney is always updating their parks and adding little extras to make the parks more interesting. Some of my favorites are Rapunzel's tower/little town area, the beauty in the beast village which has Gaston's tavern, and snow white's house which appears at the end of the seven dwarfs ride, and on the side of her house you can see the evil queen at the door waiting to give snow a delicious red apple.

Disney Day 2

Disneyworld day 2 was super busy and so much fun! September is definitely the time to go as it was not crowded at all! We walked up on just about every ride at Hollywood Studios, we even went through the new Frozen exhibits no problem! And at Disney Quest there was no wait for any games and you could play as many times as you like. When we finally reached Epcot the Test track ride was a 20 minute wait so we skipped that, but everything else we walked right up to. My day at Disney was great yet again and now for some sleep so I can rest before another busy busy day tomorrow!

Fix it Felix gameAt Disney Quest they added a couple of Fit it Feliz games. It's exactly like the ones from the Wreck it Ralph movie, and fun to play. Almost like the old school Donkey Kong.
Disneyworld epcot ballEpcot Ball! The ride in this thing is one of my favorite's. Even though it is slow I love going through it.
Epcot ball at disneyworldAnother Pic of the Epcot ball.
disneyworld countries germany  We visited the countries around Epcot before heading out. Germany is one of my favorites.
norway statue at epcotNorway has the coolest little ride that tells a little about Norway's past and present. They also added a Frozen exhibit (behind the statue) that shows the inspiration they used from Norways culture to make the film.
pizza planet at hollywood studios PIZZA PLANET! YAY!
star tours rideThe Star Tours ride is super awesome!
More from the Star tours ride.
cinderella carrageI love the crystal statues they have all around the parks. I want one so bad but sadly cannot afford it.

Disney day 1

Our first stop in Disney was the Magic Kingdom and when we arrived I saw it was all decorated up for Fall! I love the fall season, and seeing all the halloween themed props around the park made me so happy! We have been going going going since 5am this morning and I am whooped, but the day is not over yet. We still have reservations at the Whispering canon cafe and then back inside Magic Kingdom to watch the fireworks. I am going to sleep like a baby tonight then wake up ready for another busy day!

fall pumpkins at magic kingdom The pumpkins on Main street USA at Magic Kingdom were so BIG!
snow white's cottage at magic kingdomWe got the chance to ride the new snow white ride and it was so much fun! Definitely a must see if you visit Magic Kingdom.
7 dwarfs mine train at magic kingdom Inside the Seven Dwarfs Mine train you got to see lots of pretty diamonds! It was my favorite part of the ride. Thinking of posting a video of it later.
mickey pumpkin at disney magic kingdom More Fall decorations. I love the Mickey shaped pumpkins. These ones are fake but the ones at epcot are real and naturally shaped to look like Mickey.

Disney bound!

I have been SUPER busy lately getting ready to go to Disneyworld and Universal studios which is one reason why I have neglected my blog these past few days. :( So I apologize, but as I'm in disney i will post pictures and updates of my adventures and photoshoots so be sure to check back. Also here are some old Disney pictures from my past Disney trips. The first few from Disneyland California and the last few from Disneyland Paris. When I get back from my trip I will also do a review on all the Disney places I have been as well as the new Harry potter land at universal!
sleeping beauty statue at disneyland california The beautiful statue from Disneyland California. I love the Sleeping beauty castle there because you can go inside it! (And it's pink!)
Flo's cafe in carsland at disneyland California CarsLand is definiely a sight to see. I love it even more at night when all the Neon lights come on and really make the place light up!
carsland cozy cone motel at disneyland The cozy cone was so adorable and in the "motels" you could pick up a cars themed snack or drink.
Alice in wonderland maze at disneyland parisThis was the Alice in wonderland maze at Disneyland Paris. Alice is one of my favorite Disney characters and once I saw this I freaked. The maze is like walking through the one in wonderland and you even see some familiar faces along the way until you finally reach the Queen's castle. But be careful she's still in bad mood.
sleeping beautys castle at disneyland parisThe sleeping beauty castle in Paris was beyond amazing. It is my favorite castle Disney has made because not only can you go inside, but the decorations inside are just phenomenal. They have tapestries, paintings, and even stained glass windows telling the story of sleeping beauty.
pirate ship at disneyland parisThe pirates ride was also one of the best one's I have been on. It has a lot more to look at and kept to the original design.

Ronald Mcdonald House.

Last Saturday some fellow cosplayers and I volunteered at the Ronald Mcdonald house in Fort Worth to help cheer up some families dressed as super heros and princesses (I dressed as Alice). This was my first time to volunteer at an event like this and normally I'm not good with kids but these kids were so well mannered, polite, and so appreciative to see us and spend time with real superheros and princesses. Even the adults were excited to see us and so sweet and thankful that we were there. I had a great time and enjoyed playing games, running around, and taking photos with the adorable little ones. It was such a blessing to be there and can not wait for the next event.

Ray Gun Prop

super sonico space police ray gun prop
This is the prop space ray gun I made for a super sonico cosplay that I never got around to finishing. Although, I did love putting together this gun and still have it just in case I need it for any other cosplay. This gun was very easy and inexpensive to make, and I will be doing a few tutorials on how to make ray guns and others like it in the near future so keep checking back. It's still one of my prized props I have made because its so cute and purple!

Alice and The Red Queen

Alice and the Red Queen cosplay
Geline Spinks from gelinespinksphotography and I cosplaying as The Red Queen and Alice. Geline took a punk rock/edgy turn for her red queen cosplay and I added a little some platform shoes to make my Alice special. Over all I enjoyed this cosplay and running around taking pics with Geline.

Another from the Alice shoot. This was back when I had the perfect hair to cosplay as Alice, but that's what wigs are for.

Alice in wonderland

my alice in wonderland cosplay
By Geline Spinks Photography
This saturday I will be one of the many cosplayers volunteering at the Ronald Mcdonald house to put smiles on the childrens faces. I have never done an event like this and I am pretty excited about it. I wanted to stick with a Disney theme since more kids can recognize those characters, so I chose my Classic Alice cosplay. The photo is from an adventure with my friend Geline to the auboritum when they had the Alice in wonderland area set up I dressed as Alice and she dressed as the Red Queen. Our costumes had a lot of hits and people asking to take photos or even asking if we worked there. I'll be posting more photos of Alice and the Red queen later on so be sure to check back soon.

TMNT Movie Review

personal review of the teenage mutant ninja turtle movie
Last night I went and saw the new Teenage mutant ninja turtles movie. This movie has had a ton of bad reviews but honestly I think it was a pretty good movie, so I will be giving a short review as to not ruin the movie for others who plan to see it. The turtles are pretty weird looking but by the end of the movie they kind of grew on me, and I felt the voices fit well for the characters especially mikey. Although, Master Splinter grossed me out. I actually didn't like close ups with him, he looks like a sick hairless rat. It was weirder to me than the turtles. I also did not like April O'neil played by Megan Fox. First off I hate Megan fox, and she's a terrible actress, it's like she's just reading lines off a script. She didn't give any life or personality to the character like ninja turtles had. April is also a pretty pathetic/very idiotic character to begin with in the film. There are times I wished she would have just fallen off a building, or been shot, because of how stupid she was. Will Arnet on the other hand did great, he made most scenes with Megan tolerable, and sometimes comical.
Shredder was also pretty amazing as well, except his amour was ridiculous. Not silly ridiculous, but ridiculous. Go watch the movie and you will see. The movie also has some really great fighting scenes car chases, and some flashbacks that were great. I can't necessarily tell you about a plot because I didn't really notice one, but the movie in itself was ok and not as bad as I expected.

Steampunk harley quinn

By Geline Spinks Photography
My steampunk Harley Quinn from earlier this year. I always loved Harley Quinn, shes such a silly villain. I am really in love with the hammer for this costume, my dad helped me build most of it because I'm not great at working with metal. The entire thing probably weighs 10 pounds and is tiring to carry but worth it. It's my favorite prop Harley quinn uses so I really wanted to go all out!
-Side note: If you ever need any pictures done for cosplay or anything check out http://www.gelinespinksphotography.com/ She's amazing, you can always expect beautiful photos from her!

IronFist shoes.

iron fist get f bootie drug shoes
Every time I wear my Iron fist "drug shoes" I get tons of compliments. They are a little silly and have drugs on them but they go with all my kawaii outfits and are just fun to wear. The colors are so vibrant even with the "faded" look and still look brand new! I scored these on the ironfist website a while back and have been happy with my purchase ever since! These babies don't just have the looks though, they are also comfy as well. I can walk around in these bad girls an entire convention and not want to shoot my feet off. Eventually after a very long day of standing I do feel some pain in my feet but that's with any pair of shoes I own. The laces were a little weak though, so I just swapped them with some old doc martin laces and they work great! I recommend ironfist as a go-to source for shoes especially if you catch them during a sale. Also for those wondering where to buy some "drug shoes" now the only place I found was on here ---> http://www.heels.com/womens-shoes/get-f-bootie-yellow.html If I find any other pages selling them I will be sure to update y'all and give you all the details.

Popstar Ahri cosplay

My popstar Ahri cosplay at fan appreciation day in irving.
My popstar Ahri cosplay at fan appreciation day. A lot of people had asked about my tails and how I made them. So i'll give you a quick run through of them. I made a custom pattern for my tails and stuffed them with craft stuffing from hobby lobby. My dad added metal rods to help keep them from falling over and bolted them to a belt which I decorated to have it fit in with the costume. Over all the tails weigh about 10 pounds and are very tiring after a while but I love them and will be wearing them again at future cons.  Photo by Roger Enyart

Quicksilver and Polaris

Quicksilver and polaris cosplay at north texas comic book show in dallas
A few weeks ago I went to a small convention with one of my best friends Geline and we cosplayed as x-men characters. I went as a girl quicksilver and Geline went as polaris. My costume was a quick thrown together outfit, but overall I thought it looked pretty good. I bought my wig from a costume shop called Norcostco and it is one of my favorite wigs. it's very lightweight, and my head could actually breath, plus it had adjustable straps and to top it all off it only cost $30.00. I could have went with a more grey jacket but I liked my iridescent one I had bought from lipservice and decided to make my girl quicksilver a little more girly. My goggles were borrowed from Geline, and my boots I had bought a while back from electric boutique. My costume was not my best but for a last minute cosplay I think I did ok.
