Ronald Mcdonald House.
Last Saturday some fellow cosplayers and I volunteered at the Ronald Mcdonald house in Fort Worth to help cheer up some families dressed as super heros and princesses (I dressed as Alice). This was my first time to volunteer at an event like this and normally I'm not good with kids but these kids were so well mannered, polite, and so appreciative to see us and spend time with real superheros and princesses. Even the adults were excited to see us and so sweet and thankful that we were there. I had a great time and enjoyed playing games, running around, and taking photos with the adorable little ones. It was such a blessing to be there and can not wait for the next event.

Alice and The Red Queen
Geline Spinks from gelinespinksphotography and I cosplaying as The Red Queen and Alice. Geline took a punk rock/edgy turn for her red queen cosplay and I added a little some platform shoes to make my Alice special. Over all I enjoyed this cosplay and running around taking pics with Geline.
Another from the Alice shoot. This was back when I had the perfect hair to cosplay as Alice, but that's what wigs are for.

TMNT Movie Review
Last night I went and saw the new Teenage mutant ninja turtles movie. This movie has had a ton of bad reviews but honestly I think it was a pretty good movie, so I will be giving a short review as to not ruin the movie for others who plan to see it. The turtles are pretty weird looking but by the end of the movie they kind of grew on me, and I felt the voices fit well for the characters especially mikey. Although, Master Splinter grossed me out. I actually didn't like close ups with him, he looks like a sick hairless rat. It was weirder to me than the turtles. I also did not like April O'neil played by Megan Fox. First off I hate Megan fox, and she's a terrible actress, it's like she's just reading lines off a script. She didn't give any life or personality to the character like ninja turtles had. April is also a pretty pathetic/very idiotic character to begin with in the film. There are times I wished she would have just fallen off a building, or been shot, because of how stupid she was. Will Arnet on the other hand did great, he made most scenes with Megan tolerable, and sometimes comical.
Shredder was also pretty amazing as well, except his amour was ridiculous. Not silly ridiculous, but ridiculous. Go watch the movie and you will see. The movie also has some really great fighting scenes car chases, and some flashbacks that were great. I can't necessarily tell you about a plot because I didn't really notice one, but the movie in itself was ok and not as bad as I expected.

IronFist shoes.
Every time I wear my Iron fist "drug shoes" I get tons of compliments. They are a little silly and have drugs on them but they go with all my kawaii outfits and are just fun to wear. The colors are so vibrant even with the "faded" look and still look brand new! I scored these on the ironfist website a while back and have been happy with my purchase ever since! These babies don't just have the looks though, they are also comfy as well. I can walk around in these bad girls an entire convention and not want to shoot my feet off. Eventually after a very long day of standing I do feel some pain in my feet but that's with any pair of shoes I own. The laces were a little weak though, so I just swapped them with some old doc martin laces and they work great! I recommend ironfist as a go-to source for shoes especially if you catch them during a sale. Also for those wondering where to buy some "drug shoes" now the only place I found was on here ---> http://www.heels.com/womens-shoes/get-f-bootie-yellow.html If I find any other pages selling them I will be sure to update y'all and give you all the details.

Popstar Ahri cosplay
My popstar Ahri cosplay at fan appreciation day. A lot of people had asked about my tails and how I made them. So i'll give you a quick run through of them. I made a custom pattern for my tails and stuffed them with craft stuffing from hobby lobby. My dad added metal rods to help keep them from falling over and bolted them to a belt which I decorated to have it fit in with the costume. Over all the tails weigh about 10 pounds and are very tiring after a while but I love them and will be wearing them again at future cons. Photo by Roger Enyart
My popstar Ahri cosplay is even on Seth green's instagram! I was fangirling so hard when I saw it! <3

Quicksilver and Polaris
A few weeks ago I went to a small convention with one of my best friends Geline and we cosplayed as x-men characters. I went as a girl quicksilver and Geline went as polaris. My costume was a quick thrown together outfit, but overall I thought it looked pretty good. I bought my wig from a costume shop called Norcostco and it is one of my favorite wigs. it's very lightweight, and my head could actually breath, plus it had adjustable straps and to top it all off it only cost $30.00. I could have went with a more grey jacket but I liked my iridescent one I had bought from lipservice and decided to make my girl quicksilver a little more girly. My goggles were borrowed from Geline, and my boots I had bought a while back from electric boutique. My costume was not my best but for a last minute cosplay I think I did ok.

SDCC 2014 part 3
This Team Fortress 2 cosplay group was one of the best I have ever seen, and they even had the cute blow up unicorn!
I was able to meet the creators of Robot Chicken while at SDCC and Seth Green took a selfie of us. I was dying inside.
Matthew and Seth were super sweet and awesome, I hope they come again next year so I can see them again.
These guys had some amazing cosplays. The costumes were incredible, even aquaman look awesome!
Creepy woody was very creepy......
These two were awesome. Wish I could have gotten a better picture.
When my bestie came to hang out with me at SDCC we say this labyrinth cosplay. So beautiful! The costumes were outstanding and they just fit the characters so well.
Not sure what this guy is from but he was amazing. I couldn't tell if theres someone inside that or controlling it with a remote. Either way it was pretty amazing.
This guy's snow white gender bender was incredible! I loved the costume so much!

SDCC 2014 part 2
The DC bombshell statues are some of my favortie collectible figures. The Mera statue was one of my favorites, I will be cosplaying as her in the near future.
A few of the DC bombshell statues. I didn't catch the release dates but hopefully its soon.
I'm a pony freak and this coin bank is to die for.
Although fluttershy is my favorite pony so she's the one I wil lbe buying once released.
The sideshow collectables booth had some incredible figures for sale and the prices were not as crazy as I thought. With a little saving up I could definitely purchase one next year.
I have no clue what this guy is from but I want him!
I'm a horror movie fanatic so of course I'm in love with the girl versions of Freddy and Jason.
This poison ivy statue was another favorite of mine. I love the contrast between her red hair and skin.
Who doesn't love star wars!
I was able to purchase the Sailor Moon wand. I AM IN LOVE! I will post a video and review later on its features and more on how much I love it!
If the keep making Ever After High dolls like this then I will have to cosplay as one. I love the little red riding hood version. I wish I could have purchased her but I didn't feel like waiting all day in line.
I wasn't born in the 80's but Jem and the Holograms is so freaking amazing. I even had the please of meeting the voice of Jem, Samantha Newark. Plus she liked my cosplay. Not sure how much this doll was going for but I heard it wasn't cheap.

SDCC 2014
Outside the convention there are booths and interactive zones. Some don't require a badge so people who were not able to go inside the convention can still have some fun outdoors.
This guy was walking around by the adult swim fun house and meatwads dome.
Meatwads dome was so much fun. You sat down inside and watched a video that adult swim put together. And if you've ever watched adult swim then you know the video is made for people on drugs. It's still a great video even if you're sober.
The fun house was ridiculous. I can't really put into words what I experienced except: Man baby, dancing fruits. Aqua teen hunger force's living room, and hair. That doesn't even cover how you exit the place. It's either A: Karaoke prison, B: A slide, or C: A cats butt. We got trapped in karaoke prison and had to sing Marvin Gay's "lets get it on" to get out. Luckily we got to sing in a group and afterwards we were rewarded with a free t-shirt.
If you were able to find the Mutt Cutts van stopped somewhere then you were also rewarded a t-shirt to promote the upcoming movie Dumb and Dumber to. (and yes the "to" is suppose to be like that)
Here is a preview of what you would see basically the entire con. Long lines and tons of people. This line was to get into the convention, we arrived at 6:30am thurday and there was already around 2,000 people in front of us and tons of people behind us. (not to mention exhibit hall doesn't open until 9am)
On the streets near the convention it's also covered with people, there are also some homeless people wandering about which can get pretty annoying or scary because some of them are clearly crazy. So be careful if you plan to travel to sdcc one year, and never travel alone.
One great thing about SDCC is most of the meet n greets are free. I didn't get to actually meet Jack Black and Kyle Gass but I did get a picture of them. Usually you have to get a wrist band that certain booths will give out in the morning in order to be apart of the meet n greets. SDCC will post all the exhibit floor meet n greets on their website about 2 weeks before the con.

My furry friend Hunter
Not long ago I had the greatest pleasure of meeting a beautiful wolf named Hunter. Most people were worried since he is a wild animal and there have been many cases of wild animals attacking their owners. Except those wild animals were mostly chimps, tigers, or lions. I was a little nervous because of this but my mind was completely changed upon meeting him. He was the sweetest creature I have ever met and was so docile and gentle. He loved giving kisses and being pet, and he even loved on his siblings, a small border collie and black and white cat. Hunter kind of looks like a bigger husky but you can definitely tell the difference between the two or other dogs who resemble wolves. His coat is a lot thicker and has a difference texture to it, he is also huge and just about took up the entire couch. I would love to own a wolf in the future, and I know to be careful but that's with any big dog you own. Honestly if it wasn't for Hunter's appearance I would have never guessed he was a wild animal. Hunter has definitely earned me trust and respect and he even accepted me into his pack. My meeting with my furry pal is now one thing I have crossed off my bucket list.
Special thanks to Rick Parent for giving me the opportunity to meet Hunter.
